Matt Black Design

The T68NUV4A0 uses NEFF's premium Matt Black glass-ceramic finish. Unlike highly reflective conventional black glass, the matt surface reduces glare and is designed to make fingerprints and fine scratches less visible, while retaining the smooth surface associated with induction cooking.

The hob is also frameless, creating a minimalist appearance that works particularly well with contemporary worktops and handleless kitchen furniture.

Five Induction Cooking Positions

NEFF specifies five cooking positions that can be used simultaneously. The arrangement combines three conventional round induction zones with two 200 × 210mm Flex Induction elements, which together can form a larger flexible cooking area.

Intuitive Flex Zones

One of the most important features of the NEFF N90 T68NUV4A0 is its Intuitive Flex Zone technology.

When suitable cookware is placed on the flexible cooking area, the hob can recognise its size, shape and position, automatically linking or separating the Flex Zones as required. When cookware is moved, Power Transfer can transfer the existing settings to its new position.

This makes the hob particularly useful when switching between conventional saucepans and larger cookware such as roasting dishes, griddles or elongated pans.

Twist Pad® Magnetic Control

Rather than relying exclusively on a row of conventional touch controls, the T68NUV4A0 uses NEFF's Twist Pad®.

This removable anthracite-grey magnetic control dial provides direct adjustment of the selected cooking zone. The dial can be removed from the hob when it isn't required, leaving the surface easier to wipe clean.

Each zone provides 17 variable power settings, allowing precise adjustment from gentle heating through to high-temperature cooking.

Extended Frying Sensor – fryingSensor Pro

The Extended Frying Sensor / fryingSensor Pro provides additional temperature control when frying.

NEFF's induction technology offers 11 temperature options from 70°C to 220°C for its Frying Sensor system. Rather than relying entirely on manual power adjustments, the sensor helps monitor the selected temperature to reduce the risk of food scorching.

This can be especially useful for temperature-sensitive cooking such as frying meat, fish, vegetables, pancakes or eggs.

Power Boost

Power Boost is available across the cooking zones, temporarily increasing output when rapid heating is required.

The largest individual zone and the Flex elements can reach up to 3.7kW on boost, while the 180mm and 145mm zones reach approximately 3.1kW and 2.2kW respectively.

A separate Pan Boost function can also be selected through the Favourite button/Home Connect configuration.

Automatic Pan Recognition & Quick Start

The hob incorporates automatic pan recognition and automatic zone selection. When compatible cookware is positioned on the hob, the appropriate cooking area can be identified without the user having to manually determine which element is underneath the pan.

Quick Start further simplifies operation, while Restart can restore previous settings after the hob has been unintentionally switched off for a short period.

Home Connect Wi-Fi Connectivity

The T68NUV4A0 is a Home Connect-enabled induction hob. When connected to Wi-Fi and an appropriate Home Connect account, users can access compatible connected features and check the hob's status through the app.

The Favourite Button can also be used to save and access preferred functions, with additional compatible functionality available through Home Connect.

Smart Hood Automatic

When paired with a compatible Home Connect cooker hood, Smart Hood Automatic allows the hob and extraction system to communicate.

The hob supplies cooking information to the compatible hood, allowing extraction power to be automatically adjusted according to cooking activity.

This can reduce the need to repeatedly adjust the extractor manually while cooking.

Timer, Pause & Safety Functions

The T68NUV4A0 provides a switch-off timer and countdown timer, allowing individual cooking tasks to be timed more accurately.

NEFF also equips the hob with two-stage residual heat indicators, control-panel lock, Pause function, main switch and automatic safety cut-out. The residual-heat indicators distinguish between cooking areas that remain hot and those that are still warm after use.
